| What day and time do we arrive? |
If you are staying on site please book in between 3pm and 5pm on Friday 13th March 2009.
If you are not staying on site, please arrive no later than 8.30am on Saturday 14th March 2009 to register and be in class ready to start on time.
Classes start at 9am on Saturday morning and conclude at 4pm on Monday afternoon.

| What type of accom is offered? |
'All under one roof' rooms comprising of twin and triple share, some with ensuites and some with shared bathrooms. We have a small number of rooms that can be single occupancy. These will be allocated on a 'first come, first served basis' |
| I'm flying in.. how do I get to the venue? |
We will endeavour to have an some retreat 'angels' that will collect interstate visitors from the airport and bring them to the venue. If you join the yahoo group and list your flight number and arrival time - other visitors may be able to co-ordinate their arrival time close to yours and we can pick you both up at once. If this is not possible - its about 30 mins by cab from the airport to the venue |
| Do we need to take our own linen & towels
? |
No, towels and linen are supplied, though you may prefer to bring your own pillow and an extra towel |
| I'm driving across - will my car be secure for the duration of the retreat? |
There is ample parking on site just near the main entrance for visitors... |
| Are meals available
and if so what are they? |
Yes, if staying 'in house' your accom fee covers everything including the room, linen, breakfast, dinner and supper is included in your room cost. For all students, your lunch, plus morning and afternoon tea is included in your class fee. |
| Are tea & coffee facilities avail in our rooms? |
No, but 24 hr tea and coffee is avail in dining room along with fresh fruit avail 24/7. For those who like soft drink there is a vending machine and you are welcome to bring soft drink along to put in the communal fridge (with your name on it) |
| Is special dietary requirements catered for? |
Yes, special meals will be provided for you in the case of health reasons such as gluten free, diary free, diabetic, vegetarian etc., |
| Is there workspace available in rooms? |
Each room is also furnished with a small desk and chair |
| Is there heating and cooling in the rooms? |
Rooms are hyrdonically heated in winter and cooled in summer |
| Will there be kits supplies or will they cost extra? |
Some kits will be provided - depending on the class these are included in the class fee or a small extra charge. Each delegate will also receive a supply list of what to bring. In the case of kits with an added charge it is up to you if you purchase the kit or bring from your own stash/resource. |
| Will we get a supply list or is it all in the kit? |
There will still be supplies you need to bring. A list will go out to all students the day their classes are announced. |
| Can we do more than one class with each tutor? |
To ensure everyone gets a class with each tutor it is preferred that you do one class with each tutor.. however, depending on availability you may choose two classes with the same tutor |
| What time do the classes start and finish? |
9am start and 4.30 finish Saturday and Sunday, 8.30am to 4pm on Monday |
| Will there be 'free' time |
After 4.30pm each day your time is your own |
| Is smoking permitted? |
Outside in the grounds yes, not in the buildings |
| Is alcohol permitted or sold? |
Amberley has a liquor licence and is permitted to sell alcohol between midday and 10pm. We will include the alcohol list when we send out your delegate package - if you inform us of what you are likely to drink, Amberley will order it in for you. |
| What is the weather like in Melbourne then? |
March is a transitional month between summer and autumn and hot weather can be experienced in the first fortnight. Many days are mild and sunny although some days are cool and cloudy.
Nights are noticeably cooler than in the preceding month. Towards the end of March, it is quite common for the overnight temperature to fall below 10ēC on one or two occasions. The month is fairly dry however prolonged heavy rain, falls occasionally.
The average temperature is 24 to 14 with around 2 inches of rain for the month |
| Should I bring a lamp with me? |
If you have a small portable lamp its always helpful if you wish to work of an evening. The class rooms are well lit however and it wont be necessary during the day |
